Analysis: This is the only item of the whole set that only an Amazon can equip. The M’avina Launcher is one of the few ranged weapons that deal significant Magic Damage (of which only one monster in the entire game is immune). A 40% IAS at the bow is good, and add that to the helm IAS and you get 70% IAS from the whole of M’avina. To achieve the maximum breaking point, you would only need about 50% IAS from elsewhere (Shael runes on the bow, IAS Jewels on the helmet and body armor, etc.). The bow itself does decent damage, although it may lack the necessary firepower on Infernal difficulty. However, while it is simply the icing on the cake, the level 15 Nova activation mode is a lot of fun to watch on screen when activated.

Final summary of M’avina’s battle hymn:
The individual items in this set are below average, requiring an all or nothing approach when determining whether to make use of the Battle Hymn of M’avina. As such, the set is only really useful for a Bowazon. It has fantastic green set bonuses from the individual items, as well as very nice partial and full set bonuses: an Amazon with a full set gets +100 to all resistances, 70% IAS, +3 to Amazon’s skill levels, lots of cold damage and even a 100% increase in Magic Find!
