Anxiety Solutions: Control Your Mind And Feel Good!

Anxiety is generally not caused by brain abnormalities or mixed chemistry. Most of the anxiety that ordinary people suffer from has its cause somewhere. Whether it’s morning traffic, major changes at work, or a new addition to the family, something is causing you stress and worry.

Almost everyone suffers from anxiety and panic attacks. It’s not a sign that you’re “losing control.” Things that happen every day can cause stress, and the key to coping with it is to identify its causes and put a positive spin on it.

Work stress

It should come as no surprise that the workplace is one of the leading causes of stress. For those of us who suffer from work-related anxiety, the danger is that it can spill over and affect the rest of our lives as well.

Workload and high expectations are often causes of problems in the workplace. There may be too much work to do, or you may be saddled with too many tasks that you can’t complete. Fear of failure and fear of “letting everyone down” are major stressors. One thing you can do is realize that not everyone is perfect. It is not an all or nothing situation. You can do your best to do it 100%, but let yourself go a bit if it gets too overwhelming. After all, you are only human.

negative thinking

Anxiety is a cycle. Something bad happens, we dwell on it, everything starts to look bad, and then we prepare for the next bad thing to happen! Breaking the cycle of negative thinking is the best way to deal with it.

How often do you go through a long day thinking about how hard it’s going to be? This is a no-no. Positive thinking should start first thing in the morning, the moment you get out of bed. Every day when you wake up, think about the good things that will happen today and forget about the problems that could be waiting for you.

The key is to prepare for what will happen next. Take a minute and tell yourself that you are strong, confident, and collected, and that no situation is out of your control. When little failures or obstacles get in your way, tell yourself these things are going to happen and move on. Also learn to recognize negative thoughts before they take over you. These thinking habits are the number one cause of anxiety, and learning to control them is an easy thing you can do to treat yourself.
