This half-finished church built by Antoni Gaudi is the most unique religious structure I have ever seen. Something like extreme gothic, extreme. Barcelona is the city to see Gaudí’s work and this church, one of the shining examples. There is a fee to enter the building and I heard the views are half decent. However, the real surprise is the exterior and looking at that is free.
Las Ramblas
Barcelona’s own pedestrian walkway, Las Ramblas, is lined with quaint cafes, markets, and shops. On sunny days, artists display their wares and street performers, including world-famous living statues, entertain. An ideal place for people watching and this observation is free.
One food option that travelers in Barcelona should experience is tapas. Tapas are sandwiches or sandwiches and are usually accompanied by wine. This is an inexpensive way to sample a variety of Spanish flavors without breaking the budget or expanding your waistline.
