How to control head lice

Lice are a real drag. It’s every parent’s nightmare to receive the dreaded memo that says, “Your child has been diagnosed with head lice…”

That means lots and lots of laundry to do, a complete disruption to family time, and worst of all, hours spent combing those nasty nits (or eggs) out of your hair.

The traditional treatment against lice has been to use synthetic chemical pesticides that have lost their effectiveness. These poisons are horrible for children: they cause headaches, learning disabilities, even seizures, and death.

But that is no longer the case. These chemical toxins are no longer viable. That is why we now have what is known as Super Lice. Super Lice do not respond to traditional treatments: they laugh and multiply asking for stronger and more toxic solutions.

But there is no need for these harmful products! There are all-natural pest control products that are very capable of controlling lice. Be sure to choose products that have clear instructions and state that they are used to treat whatever pest you are trying to control.

For the child with these horrible bloodsuckers, you can control adult lice on contact and then after wearing a shower cap for four hours or overnight, the nits (those pesky eggs) will dehydrate and destroy.

If you receive the dreaded memo, don’t worry – follow these easy steps below and you’ll be good to go!
