Pheromones – Myth or Fact – Do Pheromones Work?

I did a quick internet search for pheromones.

Pheromones are chemicals released by an organism into its environment, allowing it to communicate with others of its own kind. There are many different types that I learned early on.

Insect pheromones

Alarm pheromones.

When an ant is disturbed, it releases a pheromone that can be detected by other ants several inches away. They are attracted by low concentrations of pheromone and begin to move towards the region of increasing concentration. As you get closer to your disturbed ant that releases an alarm pheromone, your response changes to an emergency and alarm one. They run to try to dissolve the ruckus that caused the alarm.

Unless additional amounts of the alarm pheromone are released, it soon goes away. This ensures that once the emergency has passed, the ants return to their activities.
Honey bees also have an alarm pheromone, so if you get stung near a hive, you can expect more bee stings very soon if you’re not careful.

Leaving a trail of pheromones

Hands leave a pheromone trail as they move after they have found food. This trail attracts and tells other ants where to go to find food. It is continually renewed while the meal lasts. When the supply begins to decrease, the pheromone trail ceases to exist. Trail pheromone evaporates quickly, so other ants stop coming to the site and are not mistaken for old trails when food is found elsewhere.

Sex pheromones

Hundreds of pheromones are known with which one sex (usually the female) of an insect species attracts its partners. Many of these sexual attractants, or their close chemical relative, are commercially available. They have proven to be useful weapons against insect pests, as they can be used to lure insects into a trap and confuse males from breeding. There are spiders that produce a sex pheromone from the moth to help catch their prey. Many animals, such as dogs, will mark their territory by peeing. The aroma of pheromones is said to be one of the markers of the territory.

Pheromones for humans.

There are claims like gaining MASSIVE sexual chemistry on demand!

Wake up, attract, excite, intrigue and instantly seduce beautiful women when you want, where you want, as often as you want … anytime you’re in the mood.

If you would like …

o Become much more attractive sexually.

o Meet more beautiful women, MUCH more easily.

o Get attention and get women closer to you much more often.

o Make a great, memorable and compelling impression every time.

o Boost your self-confidence and masculinity in BIG moments … then this may be the most important news you’ll read all year long.

And other claims that are equally scandalous on the Internet. Humans do not produce large amounts of natural pheromones. It has been observed that women who live together for a time tend to synchronize their cycles. It has been written that this is for a primer pheromone released by women.

If you are looking for the man or woman of your dreams, it is very likely that the unsuspecting pheromones in your body odor play an important and highly intelligent role in mating attraction. According to an article in “Psychology Today,” how body odors are perceived as pleasant and sexy to someone else is a very selective process. We generally smell better for a person whose genetically-based immunity to disease differs the most from ours. This could benefit you in the long run, making children stronger and healthier. I once saw a show on The Discovery Channel about sexuality. They had a contest with a man and 5 women who had very different immune systems. Females with male-like immune systems had a more offensive odor than females with vastly different immune systems. I imagine this is due to the different pheromones. However, pheromones are produced naturally by our human bodies. No research has been done on pheromones produced in a laboratory.

Dates and pheromones

What if we pretended that women are a little attracted to pheromones produced in a laboratory? If you go to a club after bathing in these pheromones, how is he going to be attracted to a woman? You’re giving off a scent that (supposedly) turns on any girl who smells it. Well, what about the couple that is dancing next to you? In theory, that girl is getting turned on, but who can say that she is getting turned on by you? She’s getting turned on by the loser she’s dancing with (that this loser didn’t pay anything for pheromones)

So, assuming they work, they would only benefit you in one-on-one situations.

The fact is, no research mentions synthetic pheromones. The companies that sell products are synthetic pheromones. Do these work? Who knows, there are far more reliable ways to gain traction than a scent. I want someone to be attracted to me by me. It is not a pheromone that I am using. How will she feel when she’s not wearing it? Also, what is the effect of a woman being exposed to the same pheromone all the time? Wouldn’t that cause you to get used to that smell and thus no longer react to it?

My suggestion is to find other ways to attract someone who can produce consistent results without depending on any product.
