Reasons to rent a serviced apartment

Buying a basic apartment can give you the freedom to personalize and design your own space according to your personal style and preferences. This is a good idea for those who hope to rest at the end of the day in a place where they feel more comfortable.

However, this option comes at a price, an expensive one. Bare apartments involve the purchase of furniture and household appliances. This can be fun for those on a flexible budget, but those who lack sufficient finances to achieve their decorating prowess may find it far from the real thing.

Renting a serviced apartment becomes more practical.

Serviced apartments are residential areas that come with complete fixtures and furnishings. The monthly fee may be more expensive than the cost of paying rent for vacant spaces, but think about the price you have to pay to purchase furniture that may also be useless after the lease ends.

However, keep in mind that serviced apartments are not for everyone. Long-term leases can burn holes in one’s pockets and lead one to spend more than one’s budget for rent. Therefore, renting a serviced apartment is recommended for tenants who do not intend to stay for a long time. This configuration becomes ideal for:

1. Students: College students who have crossed borders to study are the biggest renters of serviced apartments. Typically, students stay for a semester or two and move elsewhere, especially when the cost of rent becomes high. However, a fully furnished apartment becomes a haven for learning, in contrast to noisy bedrooms filled with boisterous roommates.

2. Travelers: Apartments with a myriad of facilities and amenities are nice for tourists on a tight budget and traveling in large groups. The vibe of serviced apartments may not be as sophisticated as modern hotels, but the spaces aren’t bad at all. Rentals can be paid weekly or monthly, including the costs of electricity, water, telephone and Internet connection.

3. Business Travel Professionals – The thing about business travel is that it can get run over, leaving employees no choice but to stay longer. Hotels may be an option, but lodging can make a fortune for extended stays. Therefore, entrepreneurs can secure a short-term lease at the outset and extend the contract when the need arises. After all, landlords in some areas give discounts to tenants who have rented the place for a considerable amount of time.

Hotel accommodation and other rentals are quite expensive compared to the price of a serviced apartment, even when the facilities and services offered are almost the same. And unlike hotel suites, furnished apartments provide extra spaces complete with living room, kitchen, dining room, and cozy bedrooms. Tenants can choose to cook their own food, free of charge, instead of dining out at expensive bistros and restaurants. Room service may not be present in the serviced apartments, but the owners are more than happy to lend a hand, should you need help with anything.
