The effects of constipation: how it leads to body fat

We have always heard from our doctor that we need to have a daily bowel movement to remove excess toxins and waste from our body. If this does not happen and we have problems eliminating excess waste, then we have constipation. But what are its effects and how does it lead to body fat? Is there a relationship between constipation and body fat? If so, what are they?

Let’s first define what constipation is. It is the condition when a person has difficulty in expelling feces from the body. This is because the stool lacks the softness that is present in its normal form, and as such, it can make defecation painful in most cases. Why did this happened? This is because the colon absorbs too much water from the food passing through the intestines and thus results in the formation of hard stools. This then leads to fat formation as the body is unable to properly eliminate waste and toxins.

What are the effects of constipation? In addition to the usual hard, dark stools, here are some other effects:

1. Bloating, nausea, constant headaches.

2. Lack or loss of appetite

3. Bad breath and rash or pimples

This is the result of eating highly refined, fat-laden foods that do not help regulate the intestine. When we eat these foods, our bodies convert them into energy and store them as fat. It is therefore recommended that we eat foods rich in fiber to prevent constipation and avoid fat accumulation. Fiber-rich foods are easier to digest and eliminate. When the body can properly digest and eliminate food, the accumulation of body fat is also minimized. Of course, adding exercise to your daily routine can also help a lot.
