Routing Infrastructure: 5 Key Considerations!

For too long, the United States has avoided doing anything meaningful to address infrastructure needs, which have long been ignored and/or overlooked. If excuses, promises, and empty rhetoric did the trick, these needs would no longer need to be addressed. We have witnessed, too much, the deterioration of our bridges, roads and public transport, etc., because, unlike many other nations, we have refused to invest, regularly, in this, in a consistent way! With that in mind, this article will attempt, briefly, to consider, examine, review, and discuss, 5 key considerations and areas we need to pay attention to, sooner rather than later.

one. Update of the electrical network: How often, have you witnessed, the evidence, which indicates, our Power Grid in general, needs to be regularly and consistently updated and improved? After every storm, we see major failures, in terms of prolonged loss of power, heat, and essential utilities – necessities! We need to demand that our elected public officials and others make this a top priority, before we experience a major crisis and needless loss of life!

two. Roads, bridges, tunnels: Have you noticed the number of potholes on our roads and the apparent attempt to simply put a Band-Aid on a bleeder? Constantly filling and filling, paving and resurfacing, and doing, same old, same old! It appears that many of our bridges and tunnels are at best at risk and at worst a catastrophe waiting to happen! Since the number, size, and speed of cars have changed so dramatically, wouldn’t it make sense that we need to adapt our roads to handle this? When we visit other nations, we notice and observe, our nation ranks far behind many others in this key area.

3. Public transport, high-speed trains: While most major cities should encourage public transportation, for environmental and commuting purposes/reasons, we see too little, focus on improving these, constantly! Why are we, the rest of us, so far behind when it comes to promoting and having high-speed trains, etc.?

Four. Best planes and airports: While there have been some recent improvements, at some airports, most agree that the standard and quality of our airports is much lower than others, all over the world! Planes must better handle today’s needs, including better fuel economy, use of alternative fuel sources, quieter and better interior ventilation, etc. Also, don’t travelers deserve better airports, etc.?

5. How/where we live, and sustainable energy, clean air, etc.: We need to consider ways to protect and enhance clean air and water, as well as reduce the use of dirtier carbon-based fuels, etc., to heat and/or cool our homes! Governments should encourage an expansion in these sources and areas!

We need proactive public leaders, who responsibly address infrastructure priorities, even if they are not the electoral inspirations so often sought after! Will you demand better and more?
