Tattoos for children: tattoos can bring your child back if he gets lost

When you take your kids to a mall or big box store, it can be a challenge to keep up with them. The old saying, boys will be boys, applies whenever you are busy shopping or even relaxing on the beach. Trying to keep a constant watch on your children can be a daunting task. That’s why I recommend using the new security tattoos. Below is a true story that happened to my wife and me.

My wife and I love going to professional soccer training camp in the preseason to get a chance to see the players up close. A year ago we decided to take two of our grandchildren with us so they too could experience the fun and excitement that comes with boot camp. I was leaning against the fence taking pictures of the players and my wife told me that she was going to the opposite side of the soccer field with her grandchildren. After all, that’s where they had all the fun things to do for the younger kids. Now you must realize that they are 7 and 5 years old. My wife calls me asking if John is with me, that he is the youngest child, and I say no. well, as you can imagine I heard panic in my wife’s voice; John is missing! On this particular day, the crowd size was over 20,000 people! I saw my wife walking around the field as we looked hoping to see John somewhere in the middle. We found a security person who was in contact with other security people at the site. We explained our situation to her and she got a call from someone else who had a little boy with him who was missing. It was Juan. Although this only lasted 20 minutes, all kinds of thoughts went through our minds, we even thought that he could have been kidnapped.

The whole point of this story is to emphasize that if we had known about the child safety tattoos, this incident could have been quickly resolved with a call from the security person who found our grandson. All we would have to do is write our cell phone number on the tattoo and then apply it to his arm. It is important that you instruct your child to show the person who is in contact with his tattoo, that he will say, “If you get lost, call” and the phone number to call. The good thing about these identity tattoos is that they are temporary tattoos that only last a few days. They are completely waterproof, flexible and with the special marker they will not fade or wash off due to sweating.

We all hope our children never get lost, but what if they did? Why not be safe and apply a “child safety tattoo” for peace of mind?
